A century on

One hundred years ago today my uncle John Wesley Cobb was wounded on Walker's Ridge, Gallipoli, receiving a gunshot wound to his thigh. John was evacuated to Cairo where he spent four months recuperating. 

This photo was taken one day after John was discharged from hospital. It seems, by his posture, that he was still a bit sore.
